Leicester City manager, Claude Puel says he was impressed with his players after they eased past Everton in a Premier League clash at the King Power Stadium on Sunday.
The Frenchman, who signed a three year deal with the Foxes four days ago replacing Craig Shakespeare as the club’s manager, led his side to their third win in ten league games.
First-half goals from Jamie Vardy and Demarai Gray handed the 56-year-old his first win in charge of the team, as they beat Everton 2-0.
Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi starred in the game as well as Nigerian forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, who came in as a second half substitute.
“I was impressed with my players. It was a very good first half and there were good combinations between the players for the first goal.
“It was more difficult in the second half because Everton are good.
“But I saw a team with a good attitude and good structure and solidarity.
“I want to say thanks to our fantastic fans for their warm welcome.
“It was a day that was perfect but it’s just the beginning I hope of something.”
Puel will lead Leicester in his second outing next week in a Premier League encounter against Stoke City on November 4.
